Sorry Grandmother

Sorry grandmother,

I grew up to be everything you never wanted me to be,

Big title,

Independent woman.

I can’t cook, but I can debate,

And I think that’s much greater.

But you don’t.

I still can’t clean properly,

But I can speak up my mind.

And that’s far better.

But you believe it’s wrong.

And that guy you’ve warned me of,

Yeah,

I took the precautions and I’ve labeled him.

“My husband” couldn’t have fit anyone better that it did him.

Sorry grandma,

But the world doesn’t want a traditional woman.

It wants a warrior.

So that’s what I’ve become.
